Duane has a flat, and they up at Glendale to swap tires. Most of the others skip this optional stop, and go directly on to Montgomery.

Rest stop under a shade tree in Montgomery. The bank nearny claims 94 degrees, and everyone is maximally wilted for the day about now. But it doesn't feel quite that hot: we're thinking it's more like 88.
